The First Appearance of Casper The Friendly Ghost

Posted by User ImageSire on Jul-4-2008 under General

As a kid I used to love cartoons, and they were by far better than most of the crap they put on TV today, and one of my favorites was Casper The Friendly Ghost. Imagine my surprise when I came across the first appearance of Casper the Friendly Ghost in Famous Studios’ “The Friendly Ghost”! This is a 1945 classic. While a little before my time as I was used to the more ‘modern’ version, it was very interesting to see the origin of this famous Ghost.

Yep, I have been keeping myself busy, and I must admit I absolutely love this theme and I can’t help smiling every time I log onto the blog.

I love these kind of classic cartoons. I, too, enjoyed Casper growing up, though this one’s a bit before my time. It’s surprising to see how he’s changed since this episode.

Btw, love the new look here!

Casper’s appearance certainly did improve as time went by Mark, and he was definitely one of my favorite cartoon characters. I must admit, although I am somewhat biased, I just love this new theme.
