A Rich man and a poor man were discussing what they were giving their
wives for Christmas. The rich man says, “I’ll buy my wife a diamond
necklace and a Mercedes Benz.
The poor man asks, “Why buy her two gifts?”
The rich man replies, “Well, in case she doesn’t like the diamond
necklace, she can drive Her Mercedes Benz to take it back.”
The poor man acknowledges the rich man’s answer then proceeds to
tell him what he intends to get his wife.
“I’ll get my wife a pair of thongs and a dildo.”
With a confused and intrigued look, the rich man asks, “Why would
you buy her those Gifts?”
The poor man replies, “Well, in case she doesn’t like the thongs,
she can go f#%k herself!

Ah, it’s good to see you like Aussie humor, but to truly appreciate the joke you need to understand our terminology for ‘thongs’.
Even with the American meaning behind “thongs”, it’s funny.
However, now you have my interest peaked. What’s the Aussie meaning?????
It’s something you wear on your feet in summer.
Oh, ok. Yea we have those too, and that’s what I took with the joke.

And then some. The person who liked it the best was (are you ready for this) my mom. She laughed so hard she nearly dropped the phone.
