Derek Gehl Has A New Offer On The Table

Posted by User ImageSire on Oct-12-2008 under Making Money

I don’t suppose that there are too many out there who have not heard of Derek Gehl, and that those who have know what a guru this bloke is. Well it seems that he is on a mission to get people to come by his

blog and tell me what their #1 barrier to making money on the Internet is. In exchange, I’ve offered to help them overcome it, with a TON of FREE training.

He actually sent me an email so that I can notify all my friends of his offer, but I thought I would take it one step further and post it on some of my blogs, as this would give the message maximum exposure. I have adapted parts of the message, in red,  so that I could post it on the blog.

Hi You Lucky Gun You,

The other day, I sent you an email offering you FREE help
overcoming your #1 barrier to making money online. Oops Sorry, the idea of posting it only just came to me.

To get it, all you need to do is visit Internet marketing
guru Derek Gehl’s live survey, and share your BIGGEST challenge.

Since I sent that last email, Derek’s been FLOODED with 1,000s
of submissions! Was yours one of them? Damn, I knew I should have posted this earlier.

If not, why not?!

This is your opportunity to have Derek help you overcome your #1
success-killing obstacle for free! He’s going to review all the
submissions, and then provide a TON of FREE training and help to
as many people as *possible*.

Heck, he’s even going to bribe you with a free gift to get you
to participate!

So if you haven’t responded yet, you’re either…

*Already* massively successful and don’t NEED any help.
(If so, well done, and keep up the good work!)

Or you’re afraid to face your challenge head-on, and will
continue to struggle with poor results.

*Whatever* the reason, if you still want Derek to help you
succeed — for FREE — just go to his survey, at:

http://blog.internetmarketing.com/tellderek/872529

When you get there, spend a few minutes reading the other
submissions.

I bet you’ll be shocked to see how many OTHER people are facing
the SAME challenges you are! You’re not alone…

All the best,

Peter

P.S. Last I heard, Derek was thinking about shutting down the
live survey in the next couple of hours, due to the overwhelming
number of submissions he’s getting. So if you want his help,
you need to submit your #1 barrier to success right away:

Well, that’s it. The rest is up to you.

It has now been two months since joining Chitika and I am happy to report that the results are better than I expected. The reason for joining them was that I didn’t want to put all my eggs in one basket and so by utilizing other ad networks, such as Chitika, it would help supplement any moneys earned from Google adsense.

They actually matched Google’s revenue in the first month, and this month, whilst Google dropped by 50%, Chitika grew by 50% and my total ad revenue doubled! The beauty about Chitika is that they send money to my PayPal account every month. If you are serious about monetizing your blog, I seriously recommend you give them a go.

Finally! Guaranteed Payment For Having A Blog

Posted by User ImageSire on Aug-27-2008 under Making Money

This site is definitely a must not only for bloggers, but for webmasters as well. As long as you have your own domain, another reason for hosting your own site, you will get paid £5 (it’s an English Site) every month into your PayPal account. This is straight from their Home Page:

All you have to do is implement 3 of our 468 x 60 banners on your web site. Your site can be or any size, with any amount of traffic, we don’t mind at all! As long as the banners are implemented on your site and retained, you’ll continue to receive PayPal payments! You can even have multiple sites.

I have incorporated these links on the pages that show me the least return, my ‘about’ page, site map and disclosure policy pages, so that I am now maximizing my total blog. Not only is this site free, they actually pay £10 just to get members. And there is more, sounds like a commercial doesn’t it, once a member you can recruit others and you will be paid £10 for all members you recruit. Now that is pretty amazing.

If you would like to join, and you would be mad not to, simply head on over to Freebies4webmasters right now. I have incorporated their banners into 6 of my blogs so I am guaranteed £30 a month. That’s $US55 or in my case $64 Aussie dollars every month.

Yeah, I know, as if I didn’t have enough to keep me busy, why the hell would I want another blog? In case you haven’t worked it out yet, I have just become the proud father of another blog and I’ve named him WassupBlog. To answer the initial question, I have found that my earning potential increases with each additional blog. Naturally it does take some time before they get indexed by Google and before they obtain a readership but this is all a natural process of growing up and I have high hopes for young WassupBlog, who knows that he will have to perform or he will get a clip around the ear.

PepperJam Ads Now Appearing On Blogsire

Posted by User ImageSire on Jul-31-2008 under Making Money

It wasn’t that long ago, only a matter of days, that I did a post on ‘Blogging For Profit Getting Rid Of Poor Affiliates‘ where I featured the PepperJam Network and I am happy to say that they accepted me in a matter of days. Naturally it is way to early to judge it on performance but there is one thing that I really like about it and that is the fact that you can actually select the companies that you want to promote. You also have complete control on how the ads appear so that they fit right in with your blog theme.

I got this one up and running in just a few minutes.

Every time the page is refreshed the next set of ads in your selected network will be displayed. Pretty neat huh?

As bloggers there would probably be many of us who try to monetize them by joining affiliates. The only problem is that many of these are poor performers and leaving them on the blog merely limits the profitability of the blogs. A good blogger should be continually be monitoring the performance of the affiliate programs they have joined and discard them making room for new ones. In this way they will be optimizing their blogs to their greatest earning potential.

Keeping this in mind I am continually on the lookout for new affiliates to join. I have, just five minutes ago, joined the PepperJam Network. Having said that, I haven’t been accepted yet but I am keeping my fingers crossed as the look pretty damn good. Once I am accepted, that’s called positive thinking :laugh_tb:, I will be doing a follow up post on it’s performance once I have had time to evaluate it properly.

The Remarkable Banyan Tree Of Waikiki

Posted by User ImageSire on Jun-18-2008 under Making Money

I remember how fascinated I was by the Banyan tree when I first saw it in Waikiki. It really was strange how it sent runners down which would root itself into the soil and grow into what appeared to be a new plant although it was still attached to the mother plant.

Sell photos on photrade | By Sire

Another amazing thing is that I found another great site to host my photos. It is called Phototrade and what I love about it is that they actually give their members the opportunity to make money from their photos. At the moment they are in Beta stage and are only accepting invites from existing members. I have three invites so if your are interested just leave me a comment.

As you know I am always on the lookout for ways to increase the earning potential of my blogs, and naturally I like to share these ideas with my avid readers. Well, I have come across a nifty little site called Chitika that offers you a system that will work right alongside your Google Adsense. I have already installed it on most of my blogs, soon to be on all of them, including my Load Of Bullshit blog as well as my Scenic Adelaide! I have found that the ads are easily configurable to suit your blog template, allowing you to select both size and color configurations. They even have a Wordpress plugin so that you can place them right into your individual post at a click of the mouse. Just like the one below.

There are already more than 20,000 bloggers etc. making use of 70+ power-packed revenue earning ad units, and seeing as how it is free I thought I may as well give it a go.

As so many bloggers and website owners prefer to use Chitika, it makes great sense for publishers to become involved as it is a great way to get their product out into the World Wide Web. When you consider the fact that there is a collective 2 billion impressions per month, and this is growing continually as more join the network, one would assume it would be a good idea to get in on the action.

Google And Paid To Post Bloggers

Posted by User ImageSire on Apr-16-2008 under Making Money

For those of you who like myself have been penalized by Google because we have decided to use our blogs to generate some income other than Google Adsense, there is every chance that Google may have blacklisted us and we may never get our PR back. I hope that this is not the case but I am preparing for the worst and have started another two blogs on another domain just in case. So that these blogs do not suffer the same fate as the others I am implementing certain measures that may help to keep Googles wrath at bay.

  • 1. I will not be using any ads or badges that have anything to do with “hire me” or “get paid to post”!
  • 2. I have written my own personalized disclosure policy rather than using generic copy and paste ones.
  • 3. I will not be using any “sponsored by” or “sponsored post” tags at the end of paid post.
  • 4. Instead of a “sponsored” category I will be using another heading so as not to draw attention to it
  • All in all I think that although it isn’t fair that Google should tell us what to do or not to do with our blogs I see no reason why we shouldn’t take precautions to keep the PR we worked so hard for as well as the right to monetize our blogs anyway we see fit.

And They Say You Can’t Make Money Blogging

Posted by User ImageSire on Apr-5-2008 under Making Money

It is amazing how many people are shocked when I tell them that I actually make money from my blogs. The other day I actually increased the potential for my blogs to earn money by taking a task that involved making a video and posting it on YouTube. I normally ignore these tasks as I thought it was all too hard, but I finally decided to give it a go.

You can see my first ever videomercial (I made that word up lol ) on my Well Blog Me blog. In case you are wondering that actually is my voice.
