As a kid I used to love cartoons, and they were by far better than most of the crap they put on TV today, and one of my favorites was Casper The Friendly Ghost. Imagine my surprise when I came across the first appearance of Casper the Friendly Ghost in Famous Studios’ “The Friendly Ghost”! This is a 1945 classic. While a little before my time as I was used to the more ‘modern’ version, it was very interesting to see the origin of this famous Ghost.

Whoever said that Murphy’s Law doesn’t exist has never changed blog themes before. Like everything else, when it comes to things going wrong, you can bet your ass that Murphy is going to stuff things up for you. In my case it was the threaded comments or what is sometimes called nested comments. For some reason the one I was using would cause an “Internal Error” every time someone would use it, and so the search began for a new plugin. There was no way I was going to give up on what someone commented was a HOT theme.

I found Yet Another Threaded Comment or YATCP but that wouldn’t work either. AJAXed had one included in their pretty comprehinsive package but unfortunately once again it would not work with this theme.

Finally I found the one that worked and it happened to be one that I used before called Brian’s Threaded Comments but there was an issue in that it did not work in well with the dark background of my theme. As I know stuff all about .php I thought it best to ask for assistance but unfortunately I couldn’t find anything so I gave it a wild bash. One thing to remember when playing with any files is to always make a backup in case you screw something up. As it was I managed to get it working.

The only other problem I had was when I happened to check the blog out using Internet Explorer (IE) as I normally use FireFox, and I noticed everything wasn’t displaying well at all. This was a disaster as so many people still use IE and meant picking another theme unless I could resolve the problem. Fortunately the helpful members at Aussie Bloggers Forum were able to help me out and so I can now keep this them.

I thought that it was time to change the blog theme and after much searching I found this great Wordpress Theme Site that not only had a huge selection, they offered them all for free. I finally decided on this little number and it didn’t take me long to get it just the way I wanted it. I liked the fact that it offered a larger than normal ‘posting’ area as this would let me post bigger images when I felt they were required. Take this photo for instance of my father-in-law’s multi-citrus fruit tree.

I don’t think it knows if it is Arthur or Martha as he has grafted so many different varieties of oranges, mandarins and lemons on it that it actually allows him to pick the fruit all year round.

In my search for photos to upload to Phototrade yesterday, I came across this photo of a beautiful sunset that I took many years ago when my wife and I were fortunate enough to go to Hamilton Island
for a business seminar. I don’t remember too much about the business seminar but that beautiful island certainly has left long lasting memories.

I love going outside just after it has rained because the air seem so much cleaner. It’s as if the rain has washed all the crap out of the air. It’s also offers me great photo opportunities like this great shot I took of raindrops on the leaves of this plant. It’s amazing how they have formed a symmetrical pattern.

It really is not a joking matter as it affects many people emotionally, especially when they are in their teens. The thing is that a lot of people do not necessarily want to put chemicals on their face and this has probably led to the development of herbal acne treatment of which many probably exist on the market today. The thing is that treatments are available, you just have to find the right one.

When taking photos I must admit I love the macro settings as it gives you a totally different perspective on things. Some subjects that look dull and boring can come to life when you get up close. The thing to remember is to keep a steady hand to cut minimize camera shake.

There are always people asking me what I look like, well if you study these bubbles close you can see lots of me in the bubbles.

Talk about Google being a hypocrite, first they penalize my blogs for accepting paid posts and then they take on third party sites for their own benefit, and the worst of it is that the only way we can deny them access to our blogs is by disabling images on our adsense code. Trouble is the the image ads are our most profitable ads.

In case you haven’t received this email from Google about displaying third party ads via the adsense code on our blogs yet I reckon it won’t be far off. The trouble is that we now have to update our privacy policy to let our visitors know of the changes. The thing is that I don’t actually have a privacy policy so I added the following to my disclosure policy.

It seems that Google will now be serving third party vendor ads via their Adsense ads so you need to be aware that from 23rd May 08, via Adsense, we will use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit this blog. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this information used by these companies, click here.

You can also “Opt out” of targeted advertising delivered by NAI member ad networks by clicking HERE!

I suggest others do the same.

Of course you can turn this off by disabling image ads, but take note this may affect your revenue.

It has been proven that women have a harder time losing weight with exercise compared to men. This is something that many woman have always imagined or bitched about but have probably never thought to be fact. Well I reckon that many of them will now breathe a sigh of relief and despair. Relief because they now have an excuse for not losing weight and despair because they now may fear that weight loss may be beyond their reach.

I am here to say to these women, fear not as the following video will instruct you how to exercise properly so that weight loss can actually be achieved.

There are a lot of people out there who make up websites for the sole purpose of scamming people out of money. I decided to do a post on my What A Load Of Bullshit blog to see if I could scam someone into wanting to buy a new ‘penile extension’ product. Naturally the thing is all fabricated and the link goes to a page that I made up that tells the surfer they were duped and that they should be more careful before clicking on any dubious links. I’ve also installed a poll on the page asking for their input. I wonder how many people will oblige me.
