How Long Should Your Heading And Posts Be?

Posted by User ImageSire on Sep-20-2007 under Blogging Tips

I always try to make my headings shorter rather than longer mainly because it forces me to think more, enabling them more succinct and to the point. They should be descriptive and if at all possible it would also be great if you can incorporate at least one keyword.

As for the posts, I like to keep them fairly short as well. There is nothing wrong with long posts as long as you incorporate small paragraphs making it easier for the reader to skim through and quickly glean any relative points.

I have seen blogs with huge paragraphs, and some bloggers who do not even use paragraphs, and I find that they do not hold my concentration for long. Consequently I lose interest and move on.

short and to the point, I like those kind too, especially these days when I am short on time. I’m not so good w/ my titles, but it works. I do not like blogs w/ no paragraph breaks, hard to read.

You are so right about it being difficult to read. I normally don’t spend any time at all on those sort of blogs.
