When will the Internet ever stop coming up with new ideas for its ever-growing user base? I would say never! The latest site I have come across has a really weird name, thoof.com. Now although the name is weird what it is offering, personalized news, is not.Thoof.com allows us, the important user, to join a growing community who are interested in what is going on in this world of ours. Once a member you can tailor the site to meet your needs. As thoof allows you to keep track of interesting news, websites, videos, and other links it actually finds articles and stories that matches your interests. Every time you either approve of or disagree with a selection of articles it adjusts your profile.

It does this through a “collaborative filter”; a great piece of technology and it does it so that spoof will only attempt to show you stories that interest you. The user has almost complete control. The way it works is once a member you select a story that interests you. Thoof then will find other stories of the same ilk.

When you join, which is a free, easy and painless process you are taken to the home page that has a whole selection of stories. If you select one it will go into your “my history” section. Each story has it’s own tabs. If it doesn’t interest you, you can “hide” it or you can even “improve” it. Below each story you will notice a selection of tags that will lead you to other stories with the same tags.

The experience is really a blast. You should give it a try.
