I knew I needed glasses ever since I was in primary school, but I was so scared of being called four eyes that I did all I could to make sure it wasn’t going to happen. It was easily done as all I did was memorize the eye chart so that the optometrist never knew how bad my eyesight really was. It wasn’t until I started college that I decided to get glasses because I couldn’t see the black board from the huge lecture rooms.

When I discovered that there was a laser procedure called Lasik that could correct my vision so that I no longer need glasses I was over the moon. Unfortunately I was one of those rare cases where the procedure wouldn’t work. Yep, once again life dealt me a low blow and I am stuck with having to wear glasses.
