I remember when we got our brand new 42″ Panasonic Viera Full HD Plasma how the wife thought it was a good idea to have it mounted on the wall. Personally I just didn’t understand her reasoning for this, I mean so what if her friends did it that way, we are bloody individuals and I hate following the pack. I then asked here if we hung the thing on the wall where was she going to put the DVD player and stuff, and how about all the cables that would be in full view.

Fortunately she came to her senses and we went shopping for a half decent plasma mount, one that would set off the plasma as well as provide somewhere to place our other electronic equipment.
