The Great American Photo Contest

Posted by User ImageSire on Dec-31-2007 under Advertising

This site is of absolutely no use to me at all but if you are a proud American mom or dad who thinks you have the cutest ever baby, then you have a chance of winning $2,500 by entering a free photo contest.

As easy as ABC, all you do is register, upload your photo and then wait. The baby with the most votes at the end of the month wins. So if your baby is up-to 48 months why not give it a go.

Platform Beds At BedinaBox.com

Posted by User ImageSire on Dec-31-2007 under Opinion, Special Ops

~~~
I did a search on platform bedstoday and came across BedinaBox.com who have something called memory foam mattresses which is supposed to help to ease muscle and joint pain as well as providing the comfort needed for deep sleep and good health. Deep sleep, that is something that I can do with as I haven’t been sleeping all that well lately. I wonder why they call it memory foam mattress though?
Well it looks like I have found my blogging mates something for free but they have to be quick. What is it?
I’m evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they’re letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.
It covers:
  • The best blogging techniques.
  • How to get traffic to your blog.
  • How to turn your blog into money.
I’ll let you know what I think once I’ve had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it’s still free.
Take note that I did this post to get the tools. I will udate you later after I have had time to review said ‘tools’
When thinking about wines, you have to remember that there are wines and then there are wines. Now although on normal occasions when regular wines may do, there are certain times when you may want to impress or you are just looking for a good drop. The question is how do you go about looking for that special bottle of wine.Sure, you could go to the local bottle shop and ask the assistant for his opinion, but more likely than not he will just feed you some crap to get you off his case. On the other hand you could join the wine of the month club knowing that not only can you save up to 45% off winery direct prices, you can also be confident that their selection of wines are among the best in the world.
Members get to choose from wines that come California’s hard-to-find, award-winning wineries. You can choose from the Gold, Platinum, Diamond or International series clubs, and you can rest assured that you will never ever have to worry about having a good wine again.
Cheap Hotels Guide At Hotelsbycity.net
Posted by User ImageSire on Dec-23-2007 under Special Ops
~~~

There is going to be a time in the near future when I will be wanting to go on a long vacation overseas and, as I am the sort of person who loves to plan things in advance, I will be looking for a directory of Cheap Hotels. The reason being that I know that it’s a lot easier if you can find everything you want in onle place rather than searching all over the bloody place.

Hotelsbycity.net is one of the best directories that I have seen so far as it lists the most cities, 500 travel guides split into country categories, and is so easy to navigate. Let’s take the Milan Hotel Guide for example. Once you land on this page you are presented with a very descriptive rundown on what can found in Milan, a bit of history and what you should do while there.

this is all very interesting and informative but what we are really looking for is the cheap hotels and well what do you know, there they are, right there in the right column. Let’s look at the Park Hyatt Milan, which is one of the Hotels listed, and we will see that it is a very luxurious hotel with rooms starting from as low as $430. You can see the styles of accommodations offered as well as amenities and hotel policies. Browse the photos, rates and maps and directories and you will see that nothing is lacking as far as information goes.

All I can say is that I will definitely bookmark this site for future reference.

Nicole Kidman & The Golden Compass

Posted by User ImageSire on Dec-23-2007 under Opinion

This is not a film review because I haven’t had the opportunity to see the film yet. Rather it is my reaction to an article in the paper titled, “Has Nicole, our golden girl of movies, become poison at the box office?’ This is because it hasn’t earned what everybody expected it would. It’s not a ‘box office hit’. What a lot of bullshit! They obviously used Nicole as the draw card, but just because takings are not what was expected I can’t see that you can blame it all on Nicole.

There could be a hell of a lot of other things that are at fault, like the script, publicity, the story line, shit the whole idea might have been crap. I don’t know and until I see the movie I can’t say, but what I can say is hands off Nicole, she’s our baby.

Martians In Store For A Big Bang On Jan 30th

Posted by User ImageSire on Dec-23-2007 under News

Look out Mars because there is an asteroid heading your way. This is what some U.S. astronomers have predicted. They reckon that a 50 meter wide asteroid has a one-in-75 chance of striking Mars on Jan 30th 2008. It’s of a similar size to the one that struck Siberia in 1908 with the energy of a three-megaton bomb and destroyed tens of millions of trees.

So if there are any Martians in the way I strongly urge them to relocate. Perhaps we will get some visitors shortly after the Big Bang!

For those of you unfamiliar with Forex Trading it is the real time buying and selling of foreign currency. You may for example want to trade the Aussie dollar for the US dollar hoping that the rate exchange will favour your selection. You can find a more in depth definition at eToro.

This is a huge market and the amount traded daily is phenomenal. So how does one get into Forex Trading and do so comfortably? You certainly do not want to go in blind and having the opportunity to ask others already trading how they do it would be a real bonus.

I reckon that this is the main reason the eToro has become so popular. It has the facility to allow those learning Forex Trading to practice their technique.You can actually practice the trading skills with real-market rates using virtual money as you certainly do not want to enter the real world of Forex Trading whilst unprepared.

eToro also allows you to chat with other traders sharing ideas and learning from the combined communal skills. You can even compete with with other traders by entering the free to enter championships for a chance to win some really good prizes.

Naturally one hopes that the culmination of the experience offered by eToro is that it’s members learn enough to trade comfortably in real life and yes as an eToro member you will be able to trade for real money with real-time trade execution.
